I was excited to find out that Psiphon offered a free service, so I carried out extensive testing. I wanted to see if this disclaimer translated to a poor service or if it ranks favorably with the top VPNs on the market. Rather, it maintains that it’s an open source circumvention tool that gives unrestricted access to the open internet, and easily gets past firewalls. Psiphon doesn’t outrightly claim to be a VPN.
